My church that I attend is going thru a time of transition and it has been for the last few years..I am teaching the youth at my church and we have 3-4 youth on Wednesday night that come for bible study. I am totally not comfortable at teaching cause youth so scare me! I am teaching though because there is no one else that will and its a need in my church right now. Part of the lesson last night was about the old testament and the law, etc. The youth asked some hard questions and I did answer them in a way that they could understand...yet some of those questions are still in my heart today. The youth of today are exposed to things that I wasn't exposed to as a teenager and if so i wasn't aware of them. Even though I feel so inadequate to teach them my prayer is that GOD would use my words to speak into the lives of these youth as he sees fit..

Laura, I followed your link from our Incourage Community group on FB and I am so glad that I did. I can so relate with this post...
My homechurch has been going through transition after transition for quite a few years now. Just over a year ago, our youth Pastor and her husband moved away, and the youth team fell apart (some left the church, some had life stuff to deal with). Long story short, I stepped in to hold things together. I was a mess, it was a mess...I felt as if I was drowning all year and our youth group did too I am sure.
I am just getting my head above water now, and still feeling ill-equipped for the task at hand, but God has shown me that He can work with any willing heart and these youth need our consistency in their lives as well as someone to speak God's love into their hearts. I applaud you for sticking with it, and I pray for a need to be met in this situation (whether it be for someone to step in and help, or an equipping of your talents and strengths).
Your sister in the trenches, Kristi
